The Family Division of the Circuit Court was created in 1996 and is a division of the State of Michigan Judiciary, which serves all citizens of Oakland County. All family matters previously handled by the Circuit and Probate Courts in Oakland County became consolidated under this new court, creating one place where a family could go with all of its legal issues. The goal of the Oakland County Circuit Court Family Division is to make decisions concerning families and provide quality services to families in a fair, timely, and dignified manner.
The Troy School District is a learning community that supports students from grades K-12. The District supports innovation and improvement throughout all of their schools. The District boasts 28 AP courses, 67 National Merit semi finalists, and much more. They are also known for being one of the top communities for music education, and have earned the AP Equity and Excellence award for multiple years.
The City of Troy is a city located in southeast Michigan. In 2011, Troy was ranked the safest city in Michigan, as well as the 19th safest city in the nation. In 2008, Troy was ranked 22nd on a list of "Best Places to Live" in the United States by CNN Money, using criteria including housing, quality of education, economic strength, and recreational opportunities.
The Rotary Club of Troy was established by Troy citizens who wanted to have a regular time and place to meet, discuss business and current event topics, and accomplish good works and service for others to the Troy community and throughout the world In ways they could never realize as individuals. The Rotary Club makes many contributions to the community, including over $100,000 in scholarships, supporting the Troy Schools Fine Arts Program, and much more.
Troy Community Coalition is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of all Troy citizens by advocating a lifestyle without the abuse of drugs and alcohol. They conduct many events to spread awareness about substance abuse, such as in school presentations and summer camps.
